Pakistan and Turkey agreed upon two Memorandums of Understandings (MoUs) to promote trade and investment between both countries.
The MoUs were finalized during a meeting of the Joint Working Group (JWG) on Trade and Investment which includes:
- Trade Facilitation and Customs Cooperation;
- Reinforcement of cooperation in the field of Halal Accreditation.
As per the statement issued by JWG, “both sides reviewed the existing bilateral trade and agreed to increase the level of economic engagement.”
The Ministry of Commerce and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) conducted the Pakistan-Turkey Business-to-Business (B2B) collaboration conference. Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera said that the warm business relations between both countries must be transformed into economic success.
Furthermore, business-to-business meetings were held in the energy, engineering, construction, defense, tourism, automotive, chemicals, and IT sectors.
According to the official data, more than 450 successful business-to-business meetings were conducted between the visiting Turkish Companies and their Pakistani business counterparts.
