Allied Bank and National Institutional Facilitation Technologies (NIFT) signed an agreement to provide digital payment services through NIFT’s Digital Financial Services platform under the brand name “NIFT ePay.”
NIFT is a payment system operator that is offering nation-wide cheque clearing service and soon will be launching its e-commerce payment gateway to promote digital payments in the country. NIFT ePay emphasizes to secure digital commerce payments using a bank account and wallet details. It aims to facilitate customers with convenient e-commerce transactions directly through their accounts.
In the presence of officials, CEO – NIFT Haider Wahab and Chief Digital Banking – Allied Bank Sohail Aziz signed the strategic agreement.
Haider Wahab shared his views at the occasion, he said, “We are pleased to sign up Allied Bank for NIFT ePay services, enabling Allied Bank account holders to make payments on NIFT ePay platform through their bank accounts and also allowing Allied Bank to offer online collections to its corporate and business relationships. Allied Bank maintains its niche in the financial services space and has a great potential in digitizing payments and collections in partnership with NIFT.”
