KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has forecast dusty, windy and light rains in the city on Saturday while floods have been feared in Karachi and Hyderabad due to rains since July 8.
The Meteorological Department has said that a series of monsoon winds will enter Sindh from Friday and the monsoon system will start entering the city by next week. There may be light to moderate rain.
Sardar Sarfraz said that there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in the city from noon of July 3 to July 5, flood situation is feared in low lying areas of major cities of Sindh including Karachi, There are possibilities.
The Chief Meteorologist said that moderate rains are also possible on July 6, while the second spell of monsoon will rain from July 8, this spell will also last for 3 to 4 days, low wind pressure if passed near Karachi So the city may get 60 to 70 mm of rain but if this spell passes over Karachi then more than 100 mm of rain is likely.
