Recently, CEOWORLD magazine published a report “Most Expensive Countries in the World to Live In 2020” according to which Switzerland is on the top of the expensive countries to live in this era whereas, Pakistan has been reported as the most affordable country in the world.
The countries ranked in the second place are:

- Japan
- Denmark
- Bahamas
- Luxembourg
- Israel
- Singapore
- South Korea
The list of top 20 countries includes:
- 9 countries from Europe
- 5 from Asia
- 2 each from the Caribbean and Oceania
- 1 each from North America and Africa
CEOWORLD magazine has complied this report by keeping various factors like cost of living, rent, groceries, eating out, and purchasing power. Keeping New York as a benchmark, a list of 100 countries was formulated. According to which, countries scored more than New York are assigned as expensive and the countries scored less than New York are attributed as affordable. The bottom of the list includes:
