Fall in Imported RLNG Prices

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) notified the reduction in prices of imported Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) for January 2020 in its monthly review.

The regulator has reduced the prices of RLNG for this month for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) over December 2019. It has been also notified by the OGRA that the RLNG prices by setting the new prices at $10.4822 per mmbtu for the consumers of SNGPL and $10.4602 per mmbtu for SSGC.

During the last month of 2019, the RLNG price for SNGPL was $10.8349 per mmbtu and it was $10.8234/mmbtu for SSGC. In other words, RLNG prices have been decreased by $0.352/mmbtu for SNGPL and 0.363/mmbtu for SSGC.

The price of RLNG has been computed at $9.4245 at the transmission stage, whereas, the cost of RLNG at the distribution stage has been computed at $10.4602 per mmbtu for SSGCL. OGRA has permitted charging at the transmission stage of SSGCL $9.0269 per mmbtu.
