LPG Price Rises For Second Time In 24 Hours

KARACHI: LPG marketing companies have increased the price of LPG Price Rises by Rs 10 per kg in 24 hours under the guise of a super tax.

Irfan Khokhar, chairman of the LPG Distributors Association, said that LPG marketing companies have resorted to raising prices under the guise of super tax and have started stockpiling LPG.

Irfan Khokhar said that the price of LPG in the international market has been declining since July 1, 2022 but the prices are being increased at the local level.

Chairman LPG Distributors Association said that further increase of Rs 10 per kg in the price of LPG is unjustified. He demanded the Prime Minister to take stern action against those who received more than the price fixed by OGRA and to take immediate notice against the Prime Minister and Chairman OGRA Mafia.

According to Irfan Khokhar, the price of LPG per kg has gone up to Rs 220 per kg, the price of the domestic cylinder has gone up from Rs 106 per kg to Rs 2581 and the price of the commercial cylinder has gone up by Rs 408 per kg to Rs 9988 per kg in Gilgit-Baltistan. The price of PG reached Rs. 270.
