Riyadh: The Saudi government has banned the wearing of abayas in Female Students examination centers.
Gulf News According to the Saudi Education and Training Evaluation Commission ( ETEC ) stated that female students would not be allowed to wear abaya during the examination.
According to the ETEC, female students must adhere to school uniforms inside examination halls, while school uniforms will be made in accordance with effective rules of public decency. The Education Evaluation Commission is a government agency that plans education and training systems in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.
It may be recalled that in 2019, the Saudi government, for the first time, announced tourist visas and abolished the requirement for foreign women tourists to wear abaya.
