Govt. Policy for Sick Unit Revival

During the meeting of the delegation of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) with Prime Minister Imran Khan ensured that the government would reveal a complete strategy for the revival of sick industrial units and sales tax adjustment procedure for the progress of the industry as well as new employment opportunities.

The Prime Minister assured the delegation that the government is determined to make Pakistani goods competitive in the international markets against the goods of other countries. He said that regardless of the challenging economic situation, the government has facilitated the industry with an adequate supply of gas and electricity to improve the overall production.

The Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry shared PM about the major issues such as blockage of sales tax refunds and CNIC condition of the unregistered buyers from the next month.

Prime Minister Imran Khan advised the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to formulate a system for future adjustment of sales tax refunds of the business community in cases where FBR is unable to clear past refund liabilities.
