Pakistan Exports Textile Products worth $11.35 Billion in Nine Months

As per the data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Pakistan exported textile products worth $11.35 billion in the first nine months of 2020/2021, witnessing a growth of 9%.

According to PBS, The total textile exports computed $10.41 billion in the first nine months of the previous fiscal year.

Knitwear exports ranked first in terms of volume among textile exports. The country exported knitwear goods worth $2.78 billion in the first nine months of this fiscal year, up from $2.29 billion in the same period the previous fiscal year with an increase of 21%.

The export of readymade garments was $2.27 billion from July to March 2020/2021, up from $2.17 billion in the previous fiscal year’s corresponding stretch. Bedwear exports increased by 16.5 percent to $2.05 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, compared to $1.76 billion in the same period the previous fiscal year.

Textile exports increased by 30% to $1.35 billion in March 2021, compared to $1.04 billion in the same month the previous year.
