Lahore’s Mughal Pura Dry Port will Finally be Operational by the Next Week

Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed announced that Lahore’s Mughal Pura dry port, which remained closed for the last six years, would be opened next week for Karachi cargo operations.

He shared that coal loading and unloading would also be operational from Faisalabad.

Addressing to the media, Sheikh Rasheed said, “2020 is the year of freight, previously, there were 7-8 freight trains which will soon be increased to 12-15. This year, we have a target to run 20 freight trains in the country.”

“We wish that the project is inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan during his upcoming address to the laborers of carriage factory”, he added.

This project will revolutionize the Pakistan Railways and create more than 100,000 job opportunities.
